Indicating an anime was discarded [DONE]

Post by DonGato »

Well, I'm growing old and my memory sometimes fail me and so I download an anime I discarded before, again! This is a waste not only of my resources but of the others sharing those files, and I think it could be avoided.

It would be nice to have some indicator that a series was watched (I'm not talking here about files because you can download a different set from the first ones you discarded and in this kind of cases I don't download the full series) that has no effects over statistics, just warn you that you have seen this and discarded it.

Maybe there is another way of doing this right now, if it is so... enlighten me. :)

Instead of removing the files you should set the status to "deleted".

That's what it's there for :-)

Though I never delete anything I have to admit, maybe just low Q versions when I got a version with higher quality. I then remove the lowQ files but should I ever think about removing a series that I actually did not like at all, and think I would not remember that horrible experience in the future (I mean it must really be something in the negative spectrum, something I'd vote negative for) I would set the files on "deleted" and not remove them.

But I guess I'd remember it :-)

As stated I don't want to have those "deleted files" as the series is not even complete... just want to know I shouldn't download this later.

hm,

well as a workaround you could add a file for the first ep to your mylist and mark it as deleted.

Mmm... well, I prefer another way of doing this. For now I'm voting on them so I know that if I voted I've seen it somewhere in time. But this is not fair for the series as the vote is based on a part of it and could be wrong.

How 'bout (ab)using the wishlist? Alter the anime page so that the user's comment in the wishlist is displayed below the "in wishlist" note and add a new wishlist status besides high, med and low - e.g. "unwanted".
