Not yet implemented or should the movies be all mpg or avi? I don't get that question.
Simply disable the file extension checkbox in the AniDB-Client options and it will has every file on your harddisk.
If you simply want to add wmv files to the files that are checked then add that extension to the extension list.
There aren't too many options in the AniDB client options menu to miss this one, and this is one of the self-explenatory ones.

Yeah maybe his question was about codec information. AniDB-Client at the moment has a problem with those files (for instance KAA encodes in Windows Media Format and the usual behavior of AniDB-o-Matic is lots of "ding" sounds which will be played for a couple of seconds up to a minute and then the next file is hashed).
You question was kind of irritating since "AVI" is just a container for video files. Close to any video codec can be put into an avi container DivX, XviD, WMF, On2, Intel Indeo you name it - that's why that info is specified in AniDB.
At the moment the information AniDB-o-Matic gives back is slightly different from that you will get by using GSpot (for example) and the video and audio bitrates are not yet part of automated CREQs. I guess that is part of the reason why they are not used.

It was not my intention, I was just asking because I tried to add some wmv files (some got it some not, after some trials) and I was wondering why sometimes he won't add them (also with some heavy mpg files, 500Mb+)

I guess you mean you tried hashing them and it did not finish doing so. Most likely that file is corrupt and therefor AniDB-o-Matic has problems getting the codec info - since thefile is corrupt.
You can use GSpot to find out the codec, it is more reluctant to file errors. For the CRC you can use other tools, all of which are linked here on the forum, like QuickSFV, fsum, SuperFileVerify etc. pp. or just get the Emule hash and try adding the file to AniDB via the "ed2k dump feature" and find out whether those files are in AniDB. Most likely they aren't since they are corrupt or they are in the DB and you then can find out if they are by clicking the FID (file ID) that is given during ed2k dump.
Another option would be visiting the IRC channel, logging on to Chii and dropping the ed2k into the chat window. Chii will then tell you about the file (whether it is in the DB or not).
