Common Episode List/Files for multiple accounts [DENIED]

Post by egg »

This is a strange request, but you never know...

My wife and I have watched different sets of the anime I have and have different ratings too. The animes are on the same computer, and I do not want to maintain the files for two users. Also this would be deceiving for the file statistics. I would probably leave the storage information blank on the second account to cut down this problem...

What would be ideal is if her account could link to the files of mine, but maitain unique settings for watched, ratings, ...

ano,

plz don't take this personal, but i don't think i'll ever have enough time to take care of individual feature requests (meaning stuff which only very few anidb users have any use for).
so this one is denied. :o)

No problem. I didn't really expect anything, but if you don't ask, you'll never know.

Exp, how 'bout finally implementing a file state that doesn't affect the statistics? Something as small as that would take care of egg's problem (tho his wife would still have to add the files from their common collection to her own mylist when she's seen them) *and* build the foundation for my precious file-based wishlist...

If I were on better standings with Perl, I'd love to. But I haven't written anything in that language for ages, and without going through my Camel book once again, perlref and perloop would completely escape me.
