[REQ] Add info about dub and sub in ed2k links [DONE]

Post by Wormlord1442 »

Of course, ONLY when it's different from the usual jap-eng combination

This way the links for both versions of Slayers: The Motion Picture (I've just added sharereactor's english dub) would have a different name. So far the only way to realize it's a dub is clicking the fileid to see all details, and I fear most people won't do it.

Something like "(eng dub)" or "(ita sub)" would do it.

BTW: If you ever plan to make changes to the current database structure (you already told it was a difficult thing to do), consider adding spanish too.

1st, additional languages can be added without problems.

2nd, there was ment to be a little flag displaying the language of the file behind each entry on every page of the anidb.
however, me needs those flags as useable little gifs first.
and so far i don't have them *hint* *hint*

adding the info to ed2k link might be a good idea never the less, that way
somebody might actually keep that name while sharing the files on ed2k and ppl would be able to see that the file is a crappy eng dub and stop downloading it :P

Well, that's what I though, but you didn't tell that in this topic:

ayyy, we missunderstood each other then.
I though u requested to be able to select more than one dub/sub language at the same time.
and that would require db structure changes.

however just adding more options to the dub/sub dropdown (i.e. spanish) is no problem at all. If you have more (actually used!) languages which are missing ATM, feel free to post them here.

Thx for adding spanish, now I only miss the "Dual (jap/eng)" in the lang field.

actually that's quite a good idea to allow ppl to specify dual language.
instead of allowing multiple selections we add some "dual" types :o)
well, added "dual (jap/eng)".
