Simple yet useful: ranking thresholds [DONE]

Hi there,

this is a simple feature but pretty useful:

There should be thresholds before rankings are displayed in search results, lists etc.

For the standard voting there should be at least 5 votes, for reviews there should probably be at least 2.

Currently an anime get's a voting of 10 pretty fast, as long as only one person votes for it and search results and lists start with an abundance of "class 10" anime. This could be prevented with the above mentioned thresholds.

hm,

should the rating (< x votes) only be hidden on the anime list or also generally on the anime page? (i.e. to not influence ppl @ vote) ?

I think it schould be hidden completly, just show the count of votes.

Yes... IMO values must not be shown unless 5 or more votes are submitted.

When the ranting is reliable is shown... but 5 votes doesn't mean a rating is relevant.

Yes I totally agree with that... and I would raise it to 10.
Since there are around 500 active users, 10 votes is only 2%...

I agree. I guess 10 is pretty fair, 5 is just too few.
