the anidb server is indeed unreachable atm.
I don't know the cause and there is nothing I can do about it, we'll have to wait for gmni to look into it.

which means this could take a while x_X

I've heard rumors that a huge datacenter/internet exchange in the US is down because of a fire at a power station. No idea if it's true though, but it might be the cause.
