Ogm file subtitles

i got a set of anime from my friends, and it's ogm format i can watch it in both english and jap audio but when it's in jap there are no subtitles and my friend to me that when he download the anime is says it has english subs.... how do i turn it on???? i use windows media player right now, do i have to switch to other video player????

Installing VSFilter should help.
And switching to another player would be good step also. Try Media Player Classic or ZoomPlayer or VLC media player

If installing VSFilter doesn't help, try installing Combined Community Codec Pack (CCCP). visit cccp.kickassanime.org for detailed guide and troubleshooting.
It solved all codec-problems for me
