Error using the Request edit feature

The database spouted this when I tried to use the Request edit feature.

ERROR: DB ERROR - ACCESS DENIED
no changes were made (1)

I didn't change anything on the data but I left a note for the Admin to merge two special episodes which seem to be the same

Yes, that's impossible to submit "no change". Two solutions:
1) You create a fake change (for example, modify the description), it will be ignored when the creq will be approved.
2) You post on the DB Change Request forum.
