Anime Episode File Info - Undesired Changes

Hi! I don't know if this is the rigth place to do this, but here goes nothing...

I've been adding the episodes of the Transformers G1 by the [A-SD] fansub that I've downloaded from ed2k.

Now the problem is that some guy is messing with the length values of some of these episodes. Just in case, I rechecked the values (with Windows Media Player, VLC Media Player and VirtualDub), witch where rigth by the way, and corrected to the old values.

Some hours later, I've connected to add some more files to my list, and to my surprise the values where already changed again to the new and incorrect values.

Ok, I'm talking about 1 sec, but its an abuse...
Can't I block this changes?
Can't this user be blocked? At least on this files!?
Can't I expose this situation to an Administrator?

It's note like I'm against the correction of information...
...I've myself requested some corrections...
...but I'm positive on these values...
...then why is this guy messing with them?

Please *look* at change requests before reverting their values. o_O;

Players will do floor when reporting lengths, AOM is doing the slightly more correct rounding.

..this is an automated change by this AoM?

Is it totaly reliable?
If so, I'll ignore future corrections.

But how can I know, if I can, who is changing the info?
To separate the auto changes from a "funny" guy messing arround.

If it is within a second, I wouldn't worry about it. This is probably just a rounding difference, and AOM should be accurate.

AOM is not 100% accurate though. I just had AOM hash about 900 files last night and the lengths were off on only 2 files, and on these it was completely off, so there is no question it was wrong (one said 10 seconds instead of 25 minutes...). So that means that in my experience AOM was only 99.8% accurate, not too bad...

If you want, probably the best way to check on AOM is to use the GSpot Codec Information Appliance.

But please notice that GSpot is by no means certain to be correct either.

True, I mentioned it here for a comparison of the length...

There has been a gap in our abilities to accurately check the properties of a video file, there have been various tools over time that have appeared and shined for a while, but alas all of them have been found to have errors or could not handle different formats properly. Deep in the bowels of PetriW's labs there have been rumors that a perfect system is under development that will free us from the incorrect information that has been spreading insidiously through the internet for eons. We can only hope that this rumor is true and that we will be saved from the horrors of improper rounding and bad calculations.
