Translator question

Good day. I apolgize in advance if this is the wrong section.

I am currently working on translating/subtitling Tottoko Hamutarou (とっとこハム太郎) or "Hamtaro" in America. I subtitle the episodes in English. I am not certified in Japanese as of now, but hope to be within the next year.

Sofar, I have subtitled one 20-minute episode (156) and one 40-minute movie. (Hamtaro Movie 4)

I'm currently translating another TV episode (226).

I time the dialog, translate the speech, create the subtitles, and encode the videos myself, as I don't have anyone to help me at the moment.

If there are any other Japanese translators in the forum, I'd like to ask a few questions to learn about "how it's done", from the perspective of a sub group.

I'm sure that my ways are very archaic, and would hope that your insight could help me improve my output.
