The entry for Dragon Quest or Dragonquest I and Dragonquest II (the continuation) is in fact about Dragonquest III Dai no Daiboken.
The story lines and character designs are quite different w/ the first series done by Akira Toriyama of Dragonball fame.

"Dai, a young orphaned boy, is living on the island of Demurin, populated by friendly monsters, when he is approached by Aban and his student Pop who offer to train him. When the Evil King Hadora, who had been defeated thirty years ago by Aban, finds Aban with intent to destroy him, Aban is surprised by the degree to which Hadora`s power has grown. With Aban`s death, Dai and Pop leave Demurin to avenge their master but soon learn that Hadora is a minor threat compared to the Evil God Vern and his six generals."
This is probably fine for Dragonquest III Dai no Daiboken but not the original Dragonquest that was chara designed by Akira Toriyama with a completely different story line of Baramos trying to get the blood of the dragon to become immortal and Abel, Mokomoko and Tialla trying to stop him. Harmony Gold dubbed the first 13 episodes which showed on US TV in the early 90's
I've seen all the episodes in Japanese but as I don't understand the language am not qualified to make the entry.
