Does it make a lot of sense to have subtitles in aniDB that don't refer to any specific video file?
I added some of my own subtitles some time ago, referring to the (already existing) raw files via the subtitle files' comment, but I wonder whether the data model of the subtitle should contain a reference to a file id (instead of a complete set of parameters such as audio & video quality).
If such a data model would exist, the subtitles of one video file could be displayed indended/grouped below the corresponding video file, just like the video files are displayed/grouped below the episode they belong to.

aka shadow files. search on the forum/tracker for that. ontodo in the case of a total rewrite. so don't hold your breath, because that might never happenDevil Doll wrote:If such a data model would exist, the subtitles of one video file could be displayed indended/grouped below the corresponding video file, just like the video files are displayed/grouped below the episode they belong to.
Are you just guessing or do you have anything to back it up? I mean do you have the file locally, or a link to the group's site perhaps. I'm just wondering because the file is in italian and you write that you are from France...Amour wrote:Episode 05.BitFaze wrote:The 5th one (fid 97858) doesn't state which file it belongs to so I left that untouched.
