I would be happy if there would be comment field along with categories (one comment field for anime should be enough or maybe one comment per user - than CREQ would not be needed). It can be used for:
- placing categories, which are not present in category tree, mainly because there is not enough titles having it (but they definitely or potencially qualified for category and tracing such comments can help supplementing cat. tree), examples:
Setting::Place::Earth::Europe::Spain
Setting::Place::Earth::Europe::Italy
in Noir
Setting::Place::Earth::Europe::Swiss
in KURAU Phantom Memory
Characters::Animals::Fishes::Godfish
Characters::Animals::Cows
Characters::Animals::Chickens
in Kingyo Chuuihou!
Characters::Unknown origin
Onsokumaru in 2x2 = Shinobuden

- explaining why some of categories are (or are not) placed in anime, example:
Genre::SciFi::Mecha::Piloted Robots
in Akane Maniax
can be commented as 'imagined only mecha battles'

I would like to have the meaning of the ***, **, **+, *+, and other signs explained on the page where you choose it: I didn't knew what it means and I couldn't find any explanation.

I quote myself:
on the page where you choose it
By the way, which one is the default?
For example, "boobs"... every girl has "boobs"... so it should always be three stars?

2) *
3) *+
4) **
5) **+
6) ***

You appear to have missed the /wiki/ in that link amour. If you see errors, fix them. Having said that, if the only thing you can take issue with is the counting you might want to read my descriptions again. :D

I hope I'm not restating an already existing suggestion.

After just having read a discussion over at ANP about someone wanting a genre-divided Hentai DB and getting the answer "AniDB has incorporated a new genre system" I checked out the Hentai options.

Well, for most hentai fans looking for specific contents it is underdressed.

- There should be a 'Fetish' group (perhaps with options like "huge breasts", "tiny breasts", "widows", "uniforms", "lesbian", and more fetishular titillations).
- There is overlap between the ecchi/breasts group and what is needed in the hentai.

Edit: Just noticed there's a specific thread for genre addition suggestions. Since I don't know where this post fits I'll cross-post it there to. http://www.anidb.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=21963#21963

Note that lots of stuff is moving around at the moment, generally the 'most up to date' version is found on the wiki:
http://www.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?tit ... ries:Index
Also each sub section has an indicator how how borked a section is. As it's a wiki, feel free to move things around and rename stuff, or make specific suggestions on the talk. Note if you wanna do something big you can make your own fork:

So that's what ye have been planning...
Well, it's certainly better than anything that I could've come up with. ^_^

I'm liking the idea of Theme:: more and more the more I think about it -- it certainly seems more useful than the old Characters:: branch. I hope it'll actually be used, and won't end up being just a 'test'.

Also let's add in the "Cyberpunk" catagory, for stuff like GitS and others defined as such. :D
