bug in anidb search engine [WE WANT UTF8!11!!] [ONTODO]

lets search anidb with the string "とんでぶーりん" , this result in a "ILLEGAL INPUT" error
but if you type any of the character separately, or simply remove any character from any place, it work fine. In other words its not the characters themself that are problematic, but the combinaison or maybe their order.

From my experience, inputting any kanji title (utf8 title?) in the little search box always causes illegal input. However, using the Advanced search works fine.

you can past kanji in the normal search input without problem usually, only katakana seemt to cause an error, and only in some specific case, as i stated in my first message

I've seen this a lot of times but never found the pattern because it happened. :/
