aniDBstyle/cleancut template thread [Bugs|Features|Support]

Post by fahrenheit »

The aniDBstyle, Cleancut and Operatic templates are a offspring of the same code, so when one is updated in terms of functions it's pretty natural that all are, all templates are in development, even if it looks finished there are probably lots of bugs lurking arround :P

So basicaly, and using the same layout as DonGato for his thread (one has to reuse, right :) ) this is the thread to put comments, bugs and the sort, otherwise just enjoy :D

Any support request or bug report should be added here.

html-anidbstyle example here
html-cleancut example here
html-operatic example here

[to solve the search bug, simply download the search.htm page to your hdd and then replace the one that cames with your html-anidbstyle with the one above]

image pack [version 2.7] [the same as in the mylist export pages]

Development versions:

html-japan04 v0.4.2 dev
html-operatic v1.1.2 dev

Some of the features are:

- Filter anime on MyList by state (undefined, unknown, on hdd, on cd, deleted and has awards), status (complete, incomplete, watched and unviewed), type (TV, OVA, etc) and by Genre.
- Popups with File Information and Episode Information for each file/episode.
- Has an internal "Search page" and an "Trade page" (disabled by default).
- Link to aniDB, animeNFO and Anime Planet for more info on selected files/episodes/animes.
- Uses all information available to exports, including Awards, Temporary Votes and Jap/Eng Titles.
- Uses local images to reduce server-side load on aniDB servers.
- Anime pages offer different levels of information: simple and expanded (click on the [+]/[-] icons to expand colapse info).
- Uses javascript (intensively), css stylesheets (light) and cookies (optional but recomended).

Ever since the last update, my list has been....well glitched.

http://anime.n2-network.com/

As you can see nothing shows in the list anymore. I uploaded the latest image pack, and I re-uploaded ALL the new files (including the code one which I re-edited to the trade info) but no dice.

I've done everything short of deleting everything off the webspace and uploading it all over.

Thoughts? Never had a problem until now.

EDIT: I messed around with it some more, not sure what happened but it appears properly now.

Great script btw. Love it.

As long as I'm here...I'd like to request a feature if it's possible.

Just like on the regular 'mylist' can you make it so you can choose multiple options for viewing? Aka Complete...and Unwatched for example? As opposed to ONLY complete, or ONLY watched etc?

well when the list doesn't load i would say to check your javascript console, 10 out 10 problems of the list not loading come from bad code :P

The sleepless nights over the code not working i have done them allready :P

anyway what had you done?

have fun :)

Not sure what I did, probably just got a corrupt file somewhere or something. I replaced some files and re-uploaded is all.

up to v1.5 of anidbstyle it was possible to do that, but when i changed the code, it got a lot more messier to handle that situation that you mention, i will implement it along with some other things that are currently missing, but i have to rewrite the code a bit and that takes time..

so atm only a status check is possible, sorry

In this thread : http://www.anidb.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=13459#13459

I mentioned a problem with air dates in mylist which was fixed for mylist
but the problem persists when you export the list into html-anidbstyle and cleancut styles. Just wondering if that can be fixed and I was also wondering if it was possible to have your own votes for stuff in your list to be exported with the list since it looks like that's not the case at the moment. I apologize if these questions were answered elsewhere.

Regarding the air date issues, that will be fairly easy to implement, expect a small bugfix version anytime soon.
Regarding the my vote thing it should be allready be active, i got to check something with exp because of that.

hmm, actualy i think there is an issue with the my vote part, but it's not related to me, i will try to look it some more..

the other thing you asked is done, by default the date that is shown in the episode exports is the Air date, unless there is none added to the episode in that case it reverts to the database add date, anyways there's a profile option for users to change which default date they want, Air or DB date.

You just have to wait untill i release the updated version use it.
