Filter for ''Latest animes'' [tracked]

Post by wahaha »

It had to be requested sooner or later: I'd like to have filters for "latest animes", similar to "latest files" (which really should be renamed to "latest entries"), specifically the following:
  • All -- ok, a no-brainer
  • Non-hentai
This should be the default for guests / people who disabled "show hentai" in their profile.
  • TV, OVA, Movie, (Other/Unknown?) -- again, obvious

Nice idea. :)
Can we have also instead of the last 100 animes or even while having that at first more records? (I mean something like "next last 100"). ;)

Last 100? It seems we talk about different things ^^;

latest animes vs. "latest files"* -> animes

*) "latest additions"/"latest entries"/"new entries"... any of those would be less confusing :P

I'm talking about last 100 anime titles (there are now two ways of accessing that feature), not files! ;)

As I update the images for AniDB new entries but can't check every week and sometimes a bunch of files is added that make me miss some of those new entries to add the images. :(

well, the ideal thing would be some kind of a list of new anime this year/month chronologically, and i mean only those upcoming and first aired not the old ones from previous years.

that would help people a lot with keeping track of new anime. i know there is animenfo, but they just throw all anime from one year into one alphabetical list... also, theyre much slower than anidb, anidb has new and upcoming anime faster (my observation).

Click the two links - we're really talking about two different things ;)

I guess you mean http://www.animenfo.com/animebyyear,2004,1.html. However, AnimeNfo does have a function similar to "latest animes" (http://www.animenfo.com/newanime/). That one isn't very up-to-date, though, as the list is apparently maintained seperate from their regular entries.

i am a bit confused here.
what exactly do you have in mind which is not possible by either using:
http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... testanimes
or
http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... type=anime
?

If a regular as me missed that option that shows that we need better advertising of new features. ;)
