Icon for groups [DONE]

How about a small (90*90 maximum) avatar for the groups on their pages.
Like the onigiri symbol on onigiri's group-page.

Only by off-site linkage ofcourse, wouldnt wanna do something to further hurt the bandwidth.

it would also require the filesize to be checked, since animated gif's can be rather large.

I know these banners are somewhat popular among french fansubbers, but is there really anything similarly large for english fansubbers?

It'd be a nice addition, but... do these banners exist to begin with?

I don't like them... Most groups don't have a proper logo but an anime banner. They are not really useful to identify them, and only a few of them have something like that.

If it is just on the group page, I don't see any harm in adding it. I would make it a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooow priority though. If it was to be displayed elsewhere it would make the pages too cluttered.
