*.mkv in Wild Knights Gulkeeva

Post by Renaux »

Hello,

I just finished my torrent download of the anime Wild Knights Gulkeeva. I have tried CCCP and MPC, VNC, (the newest versions) and it still will not play. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm shocked you tried a remote Desktop Client (VNC) to play a video...

I guess you mean VLC.

try mplayer for windows (www.mplayerhq.hu), it uses similar technics as vlc but not the same. Please download the development version.

Hehe. Yea. not VNC. VLC.
I tried m player and I got this result.

MPlayer 1.0pre8-3.4.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ (Family: 15, Model: 47, Stepping: 0)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Compiled with runtime CPU detection.

c:/windows/fonts/arial.ttf doesn't look like a font description, ignoring.
Cannot load font: c:/windows/fonts/arial.ttf

Playing Wild Knights Gulkeeva 01 (eng sub).mkv.

Exiting... (End of file)

It did not play any file before it said exiting file.

Let me know if that explains things.

Are you sure that the torrent finished downloading? Check CRC.

Uninstall all codec's and install CCCP last version, and use MPC, or zoom player. Leave the settings to default dont change anything if it's not necessary

Howdy,

I uninstalled all Codec Packs on my system. I reinstalled CCCP, and tried it on both Zoom and MPC and have had no luck. I was wondering if any of you out there got Wild Knights Gulkeeva to play? gspot states the codecs used are unknown, and Virtual Dub won't even open it either. I'm wondering what obscure codecs are used in the mkv container.

I can play those files with MPlayer/Linux

MPlayer dev-SVN-r19789-4.1.1 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ (Family: 15, Model: 12, Stepping: 0)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1

Your files is most likely damaged, please check them.

Linux. Ok. I lost my linux installation, but now I have a reason to put it in again. I will try it on Linux and tell you how it goes.

Thanks for the idea and the help. I'm sorry I'm being such a pain. Let you know tonight when I get home from work how it goes.

Hey,

Haven't gotten linux on yet, but I have a quick question. I know my torrent came with a .sfv and I still have it, but sfv checker isn't working well for me. It could be that I'm not using it correctly though. Any suggestions on the best way to check the files?

Note: I used MicroTorrent to download the files.

Thanks

Use RapidCRC http://rapidcrc.sourceforge.net/

(for windows only...for linux there are other good alternatives)

with that you can easily check the video files with an sfv.

I'm assuming my files are corrupt then, simply cause the sfv file could not be read. Should I remove everything and redownload the files using Micro Torrent again?

Thanks.

Yes, we have tried to tell you, the files are broken...

Nayway, don't delete the files. Your Bittorrent client should be able to check witch parts are correct and only re-download the broken parts.

Hello.

All fixed. My torrent program redownloaded all of the files when I told it to re-check them. They all were corrupt. Every single one. After the checking was done, the files worked great.

Howdy,

I'm sure anything is better then nothing as a seed. I'm in a 5 person apartment on a 3mbps/768kbps DSL line. My upload speed has less to be desired, but I am a seeder for the little I have.
