Right now the hide hentai profile flag is very limited. If I enable it, I can't lookup hentai titles even by choice. But with it disabled, hentai (with cover pics!!) shows up on the anime calendar too, which is extremely un-work-safe and generally bad for browsing around friends. (With all the stupid hentai titles and covers it makes anime look like its all porn..)
For my purposes, I could mostly just turn hentai-hiding on, except that I hate having the DB censored. I hate loading a link from #anidb and having the censored message come up, or trying to lookup information about a hentai title and not being able to, etc. So a better solution would be preferred.
What I'd like to see is at least a third level to the hentai-censoring mode.
1. Hentai fully hidden.
2. Hentai browsable, but does not show up in anime calendar, search results (unless it's exact/only match or hentai genre is selected), etc.
3. Hentai fully visible.
Maybe rather than three levels it would be possible to have several individual flags which the user could customize..?
well, I recently noticed a thing in my profile that I hadn't seen before - dunno how new it is - it isn't described on the wiki - but there's an option that says "Hide Hentai Images (Adult Content)" as well as the regular "Show Hentai (Adult Content)" ... looks like this could be a good enough option for you
