Virtual Folders is probably not the best name, but I couldn't think of a better way to describe it. It would be nice to have a way to separate files in mylist, so that I don't have Hentai, Movies, OVAs, etc. mixed in with my Anime series. I would especially like to keep the Hentai in mylist in a separate folder/area from the rest of my Anime. Someone told me to just make a second account for my Hentai, but I don't really want to do that.
My apologies if something like this has already been suggested before.

Because I wanted to do exactly what you wanted, I created a new account just for hentai stuff. Main reason was that I wanted my own 'hentai stats' and also to remove hentai from my anidb export. It would be cool though to categorize your mylist through, like by movie/ova/tv, short series/long series/very long series, or even by particular genres.. doesn't sound very useful I guess, but I would use it 
well these kind of statistic would be great on the client at the moment i can search for every anime i have in one particular category but it doesnt include automatic statistics and that mean a lot of manual counting if you really want to know. And i agree that those that dont want to show their porn just have to create a second list

Sounds like we hit a nerve or something? If someone bothered to look at previous feature requests, this is not far from searching/filtering your mylist which was suggested a long time ago (And exp put it ON TODO mind you. If you don't believe me see the links at the bottom of this post). I really don't see the harm in being able to filter your mylist by certain criteria so it makes it easier to locate information. Sometimes you really need to keep that attitude in check Rar. No need to bite people's heads off for something that has been suggested on multiple occasions - perhaps that's an indicator that maybe it's somewhat important? Just because you don't use AniDB in this way doesn't make it automatically wrong. Everyone uses AniDB in their own way, right? Shessh. I thought about suggesting having an option to exclude the hentai genre from the anidb export, but I think it's a rather trivial feature. Exp has a much more important things to do. However, I agree that the stats thing isn't very necessary since it's handled well with the client. We're still waiting for that mylist search exp
And since we're on the subject of hentai-related feature requests:
Just because it isn't implemented now, doesn't mean it's totally set in stone. For instance, I requested censored/uncensored flags over 2 years ago here, and it was denied by exp. It was later implemented in Dec. 2004 because of this thread and user support. It took almost a year to get it implemented, but exp finally considered it
Additionally, in March 2004 I suggested the 'hentai disclaimer' here. Fortunately, exp thought that was a good idea at the time 
Anyways, if you want something implemented, just show support. Exp has a lot of things to do and (as far as I know) prioritizes features based on difficulty *cough* and also whether people will actually use it. References:

Anyway, anime list and mylist in aom are intended to be possible to split based on hentai. In the future I might add something that can split based on more options (like genres, mylist state, mylist storage etc). Most of the code is there already.
That would be great PetriW or at least an option simply to automatically count the number of GB, of eps and of series selected this way it would be possilbe to make a search in mylist with the anidb client as its already possible and select everything to know this stat. And it woudnt be limited to hentai. As knowing the amount of action, of mecha... seen could be just as interesting as hentai. Hentai is just an other genre altought its considered special by many but these stats could be easy to implement in the client and interesting. All the funcions are already there aniway it just doesnt count everything selected.

I belive that the system GMail uses to label mails is very useful... probably a good idea to implement: much like a personal genre system one could add 2 or more labels to an anime so that it would appear in 2 different filters...
just a thought...
