e-mail or RSS notifications [DENIED]

I was wondering if it would be possible to have an email notifications sent to the email address, so that we know when new notifies are up, sometimes I don't log into the site except 1nce a week. even an RSS Feed for notifies would work well since that is integrated into Thunderbird.

but such a feature would create way too much additional load to be worth it.
UDP API clients are meant to be used for this.
