Chii: improved vote dates [DENIED/DONE]

Post by Wlah » Tue Nov 30, 2004 9:23 pm

I would like to have chii show 2 dates when you do a !vote aid
so instead of just this:
<@Chii[AR]> VOTE: Your vote: 7 on 09.05.04 06:10

it should be like this imo:
<@Chii[AR]> VOTE: Your vote: 7 on 09.05.04 06:10 First vote made: (dd.mm.yy hh:mm)
or something alike

It'd be nice to see when you finished a series... since that date is lost upon vote changes... at least implement it for now.. I bet the old dates are already lost as it is now.

Why connect the date when you watched it to votes, just display the day you added the last ep to mylist as watched? :)
(yay grammar!)

You don't need the votes for that. Chii remembers everything:
[22:26:33] (ElNipp): !file 54341
[22:26:34] (Chii[AR]): FILE: To Heart - 13 - A Snowy Day, by Bishoujo-Fansubs (gid: 111), 183.246.848 bytes (fid: 54341), ed2k://|file|To_Heart_-_13_-_A_Snowy_Day_-_[B-F](51d8abdb)[AniDB].avi|183246848|d053a40bfbb20cb16f1de4aab52e994e|, http://anidb.ath.cx/f54341 , FILE STATUS: WATCHED (30.11.2004 05:13) [deleted]

oh.. didnt know that.. I still want that date (first vote/last ep watched date) in the !vote command though :P makes it funnier to compare with others :)

Well, it would be nice to have something like a "vote history". That way you could see when you did change your votes (because you rewatched the anime, or whatever) and what you did vote before etc.

well,

all data on old votes is deleted/replaced the instant you revote.
providing such a vote history would require a new table and quite some changes to anidb.
to be frank, right now I don't see why it would be worth the trouble :P
especially if you take into account that probably less than 1% of the anidb users change their votes at all.

BYe!

Well, if you (for some reason) even think of implementing, I second the request for a vote-history as well :)

I'd be happy just with an option to keep the date of the original vote. Definitely easier to implement :P

I also agree with that one (although that was actually the entire idea I agreed to, which might not be that clear in my previous post).
