How about adding a screeshot for quality? [DENIED]

Post by Gambit »

Like the topic said already, how would you guys think of adding a screencap per group/ep/anime/whatever you like to show the user the quality instead of clicking 'Very high/High/Medium' ? Because my opinion tends to differ greatly from other users opinions ...
This way everyone can actually see how the quality is and decide for themself if it`s worth getting. Or when they need to choose between 2 groups ... they see the vid qual, the sub fonts and such ...

well,

i don't think many ppl would use a feature like that @ adding.
and if only 0.001% of all files in the db have a screenshot added
the value would be pretty limited.
as i see it now this feature is not worth the time it needs to implement it.
however, if someone with some perl knowledge wants to help me out @ anidb cgi, feel free to drop me a line.

i'm against this feature  . screenshots may give u an idea of the differences between telesyncs, screeners, etc (vcdquality), but it's IMHO rather useless for dvdrips or hdtv captures (like most new anime releases). almost every file looks good if u take screenshot in a low-motion scene, but that could be totally different in fast-motion scenes.

just my 2 cents ...

well,

just another reason why this feature will not be implemented any time soon :P
btw. most/some ppl might actually have problems even generating a simple screenshot!

Gambit spamming the forum already?

Also, i agree with ElNipp, i say although it's always nice to have some screenshots, it's not really needed.
