Show English title in chii[ar] [DONE]

Post by kamenoko »

On some !anime 's, instead of showing the english title in the aka field, it shows another romaji title. Could you default the aka to the english title please?

You would like an example, I'm assuming, so here we go:
A Kawaii IRC bot wrote:<Chii[AR]> ANIME: Koukaku Kidoutai (61), also known as Kokaku kidotai, 1 eps, Year: 1995, Sequel: INNOCENCE (890), Prequel: Koukaku Kidoutai S.A.C. 2nd GIG (1176), Genre: Action Adventure SciFi, Rating: 8.37 (681 votes), Reviews: 2 (avg: 9.74), DB: 6 eps/32 files, More info: http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... ime&aid=61

Seconded (unless there's a chance to get the "aka" titles according to the language preferences you set in AniDB - in which case, I'd like to have THAT instead :)).

Yeah Ghost in the Shell Stand alone Complex bugs the hell out of me too. Every time something is changed the Anime keep bouncing from one letter to anither. I used to look under "G" for nearly a year now and now I have to look under "K". Sucks :)

I want to set the "shown" preference on a per Anime basis if you ask me but this is what happens if you get more options, things tend to change :) A couple of months ago you would have had to visit the website to find out what the japanes romaji title was...
