What do you think about making some data easier accessible via cgi?
1) Especially something like an ed2k-link-checker might be(come) very useful:
Example: http://www.anidb.net/ed2kinfo?[md4-hash or full ed2k-link]
It could give the same info as a animedb.pl?show=file&aid=x&eid=x&fid=x&nonav=1 - but hey, why not give (or link to) additional infos of other eps from same anime, or the same ep from other groups?
i am not sure what we need those for atm.
i mean they'd neither be linked on the anidb web page nor posted by chii, so who would use them?
and what for?
The animenfo-id-link would be an easier way to provide anidb-links (in other forums / pages) - just like the search-shortcut.
The link-checker might turn out to work as a fake-checker... then if someone can convince the emule-team(s) to include it, it could attract a lot of people
i think the first part could in deed be pretty usefull @ animenfo ids
however, about the fake checking and it's inclusion with p2p filesharing software. i don't know if that is a good idea.
true it would prolly give us many more visits BUT
- it will prolly create lots of server load, which ATM we can't handle
- it might get us unwanted attention i.e. by anime licencing companies & co
- it would be pretty hard to get i.e. the emule staff to include it as, lets say
a context menu option when right clicking a search result bc quite frankly
i don't think more than 0.01% of the emule users are otakus.

The question is how many of those can become otaku ... and I guess one might be able to convince at least the emulePlus-team to include it
Well, although you're right, I won't change my sig('s motto)...
