AniDB Top10 Awards [NOBUG?]

Someone from the German anime-fansubs.de community just made me aware of this. Hajime no Ippo is listed with a Top10 award but is nowhere near the top 10 animes, both in terms of most users and best rating.

Bug or caching?

the top10 awards are only calculated once every 24h.
right now that anime no longer has a top10 award so there is probably no problem.

also note that there is a min. amount of required votes before an anime is taken into account for the top10 award calculation, that means that there may well be some other animes with a higher rating but too few votes.

So can I take from your words that the number of votes for being included in the top10 rated animes on the main pag is lower then the number of votes to be considered for an anidb top10 award?

i am not sure about that right now, but that might well be the case.
