Number of votes not correct [NOBUG]

<Chii[AR]> MYSTATS: gambit (uid: 36) - 401 animes, 4952 eps (3445 / 69% watched) and 5320 files in mylist (959 GB, 28% of AniDB, 19% watched). 38 animes, 261 eps, 490 files, 29 groups, 305 votes and 131 reviews added to DB. Leech factor: 90%, Lameness: 0%.

According to MyPlace, my number of votes is 262.
According to MyVotes, my number of votes is 257 (perm anime vote), 1 (temp anime vote), 1 (group vote) - which results in a total of 259, not 262.
I haven`t voted for any episodes (and I suppose those are supposed to be shown there anyway), so that`s not the case.

I`ve revoked all my (around 50) votes for groups around a week ago and I have voted for 2 or 3 anime in the meantime, but the votes at Chii didn`t go down as it should. Now, besides chii, I noticed also MyPlace and MyVotes are different. I think there is some bug which seems to be screwing up the vote-count - at least for Chii, but probably also for the other ways of keeping the vote-count.

I`ve already talked to you on IRC about it, but that`s a couple of days ago already and it still doesn`t seem to be fixing itself, nor can I find any reason why those counters differ from each other.

Could it be counting review votes? I dunno just guessing.

I have 131 reviews, and with that I have the most reviews in entire AniDB - but that won`t bring me to the right number of votes either

There are different types of votes:
- anime perm. votes
- anime temp. votes
- group votes
- ep votes
- review votes
- animegroup votes

my guess would be that the different numbers are caused by taking into account a different set of these on the pages you mentioned and chii.
i don't know for sure though and don't have the time to check that now.

Anime Perm. votes
I only vote when I have finished something, so I have 261 votes according to the list of votes.

Anime Temp. votes
I only vote when I have finished something, so I have 0 votes.

Group votes
2 weeks ago I revoked all my group votes except for 1. So now I have 1 vote.

Episode votes
I don`t see how those have any use, so I`m not using those.

Review votes
Currently 133 reviews added to AniDB.

Anime group-votes
I don`t even know what you mean with that, so I can`t say I`ve voted for it

I suppose the "review votes" refer to the amount of others' reviews you rated (which is probably hard to count manually)

@Laughing man - Damn ... that would probably be twice as much as the reviews I`ve written myself. But that doesn`t add up to the 2** votes I`ve made either

maybe his review votes were counted - the amount of votes he got on the reviews he wrote. I mean that could be, would be around 2.5 votes per review.
