Kino's Travels synoyms [FIXED]

Post by Scab^ »

A search for "kinos travels" or "kino's travels" will not show any matches. However, if you check its page ( http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... me&aid=575 ) you see " KinoÂ’s Travels" as a synonym. Surely that "Â" doesn't belong there.

Hmm, still doesn't seem to be working 100%. A search for "Kino’s Travels" will show it, but "kino's travels", which gets converted to just "kinos travels", still shows no hits.

No, that's not what I meant :)

It works with "kino’s travels", but not with "kino's travels". There's a different ´, see? Now since it converts "kino's travels" to "kinos travels" I just assumed that it was *supposed* to work :)

(Moved from DB Change Request)

I changed the apostrophe in "Kino's Travel" to the plain ' - and added the synonyms "test´s anime", "tests` anime" to... test anime for... testing purposes.

Currently:
searching for ` or ' finds ` ("´" does not work)
searching for ´, ' or ` does not find ´ - try "test`s anime".
(Using Firefox. The apostrophe may be stored as plain "´" in the DB, but Firefox insists on submitting it in the search-string as %B4, %27 and %60)

Thanks to Unicode, there are probably a few dozen more apostrophe-look-alikes...

well,

it's only ment to work with ' and `
i think ´ isn't even an ascii character anymore, not sure though.
