A newly added file doesn't show on the anime's page [CLOSED]

Post by wahaha »

About the file for UPS 14: http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... 32&nonav=1.

As I write this, the above page shows the file as "Episode: 14 - Episode 14 (14743)", and it also properly shows up on the "latest file"-page:
35632 # 06.02. 02:04 # Uninhabited Planet Survival # 14 - Episode 14 - [Suck].avi # 183.101.440
However, on the anime's page, it does not show, even though the "new"-sign appears:

(manually trying to build the corresponging "expand ep"-link doesn't work)

I guess that error will be corrected on its own, but nonetheless "something" in the current code caused this, so I thought it's worth mentioning.

#anidb wrote:<d0d|atuni> heh i added a file and i cannot expand the episode
<d0d|atuni> no files but anidb shows that i got the episode, lol
<d0d|atuni> hm
<sput> now thats a weird error
<d0d|atuni> if i export the ed2k links it works
<d0d|atuni> try if you can expand UPS episode 14
<sput> hehe
<sput> 'expand' is not working
<bbaab> The link should be http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... #eid_14743 ... alas, it doesn't work.

I don't think so... at least I didn't.

Another event that may be related:
I earlier received a message that there was another file added to the same ep (same group, without ed2k-link), but the owner deleted it.

I have something else to add to this matter. You can see and add the file via anidb-o-matic. thats at least how I was able to add the file to my mylist. :?

well,

i already know what the current problem is,
however the question is what caused it.

each ep entry has a file counter. And only eps with
a file counter > 0 can be expanded.
if you add a file to an ep the ep counter is increased,
if you delete file the ep counter is decreased.
at least that's what's supposed to happen.
the ep in question has a file counter value of 0
(the file counter is displayed in the File colum @ anime page)

anyway, once every 24h all file counters are checked, so
this problem should fix itself.
