Adding new Eps to an existing anime [NOBUG]

Post by Skal »

Using mass add to add new eps, anidb returns me a error message :

Successfully added data.

Anime: Super GALS! Kotobuki Ran
Output: 14 - internal error, no eid present or invalid

(The file is not added successfully)

And a big error on the bottom of the page :

ERROR:

Can't call method "fetchrow_hashref" on an undefined value at /var/www/anidb/perl-bin/modules/adb_db.pm line 193.

I did not have a problem to add eps before...

As I can't reproduce it with test anime, I suppose exp might need more info on this, so: What exactly did you try to add?

I was trying to mass add eps 11-14 of Super Gals! Kotobuki Ran, DVDrips from APS

Just tried again, same error :

Anime: Super GALS! Kotobuki Ran
Output: 14 - internal error, no eid present or invalid
14 - internal error, no eid present or invalid
14 - internal error, no eid present or invalid
14 - internal error, no eid present or invalid

I have no other new files from another serie to test, so I can't say if it's an error from my side. However it's the first time I experienced this, having successfully added new eps before...

Then I suppose this is no error in AniDB, but rather a misleading error-message:
New files can't be added without being associated to an episode. However, if you don't enter anything as episode-title, no episodes are created.

In other words:
You have to at least enter "Episode 11"-"Episode 14" in the ep-fields if you want to add the respective files.
(Would be nice if you could enter the right ep-title and ep-length instead of these placeholders, of course ;))

I guess so... to solve the problem, you could use "Episode XX" by default if nothing is provided for an episode if a file is added using the mass add form.
