The title for the comment icon has both newline and <br /> to mark the newline, so passing the mouse over that icon, I can see the following in Opera:
Line 1<br />Line 2<br />...
In FireFox it's even worse, because we also get a small note marking the newline, and finally using IE the newline seems to work, but we still see the <br /> parts.
