simply because the title wouldn't match the given official title, that's the only opposing argument, if we'd make it a standard to change uppercase into lowercase then so be it, I don't like CAPS anyway
Now... would it also be needed to make all the company names to lowercase instead of uppercase?

"Every non-japanese site", yeah.

So you want to follow majority of english sites that writes "Texhnolyze"? If you don't know what's difference between ΤΕΧΗΝΟLYZE and Texhnolyze besides caps, I'll give you a hint: that's two different words.

Problems like this one is result of people messing with original formatting to fit it to their tatstes, but how those, obviously subjective choices, are good replacements for official titles is beyond me. So, unless there's one more field to preserve original caps and formatting (that will satisfy Rar's desire to kill all japanese formatting as well), I will be strongly against any of such changes.

Aw come on, now you are just being silly.

Let's bitch about "Elfen Lied". The titles of every episode are in GERMAN. That means you should use the GERMAN spelling and that means that there need to be some uppercase/lowercase changes to the titles. AND I want all the english translations of the titles removed ASAP!

And not to mention Princess Tutu.

I love this thread. It's so silly :-)

Let's discuss version numbers like those Linux dudes did. I want EXP to add a .1 to every new version of the DB instead of .01 - it seems more appropriate :-P

I don't care about English titles and hardly ever creq them, unless they're empty or absolutely wrong. That's why separate field alternative is ok for me too, in case "Common Romaji" idea is ever implemented - so I will no longer care about "Common Romaji" as well.

I thought it couldn't go downhill from the quadruple rows. post, then nwa gets back... (Oh, and if you'd bothered to look, you'd have seen that the Tattoon Master logo is the japanese design)

Anyway, as absolutely nothing new has been said, and I'm sick of the lot of you, I'm gonna give up trying to get a solution everyone is happy with and ignore and future creqs.

By the way, imdb need to fix their fucking site. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371724/ You can clearly see from the poster that the title is THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY.

a name is a name, just a sound (or sounds). it is not style like font, color, case and other things like hexagons, that is for logos. common or official, don't care. use current system.

the only names that should be in uppercase is acronyms, like Mai-HiME (Highly-advanced Materializing Equipment), because it implies additional info

@Rar: don't IGNORE, DENY the goddamn creqs and teach that b*tch a lesson not to come there gain. A deny just takes a second, a creq takes a minute. Punish that l0ser. Show him who has the p0w0r!

;-)

I love this thread.

Oh and Amour, you know that because propably the movie will be dubbed in french, it won't matter whether it comes out August 17th or never, it will suck balls because it will be DUBBED IN FRENCH
