"Furusato Japan" air/release date

According to here:

they finished the "Furusato Japan" movie and had it's first screening on February 10, '06. It was also seen at a film festival at about the same time. That would make that its first airing, correct? The Japanese nationwide theater release date (April 7, '07) appears to be what is currently shown as its aired/released date, but it's already won some awards, so that seems odd to me.
So, should the air/release date be 10.02.2006 or 07.04.2007?
