connection problem with ANIDB OMATIC

Hi

i trie to update mylist by AniDB Omatic but i had message :
! Connect timed out

so i verified my password many times and it's OK
but Anidb Omatic can't conect

i changed the server name to api.anidb.net
same problem
i tried 69.64..44.6
i thought maybe a problem with my proxy
i tried a direct connect
same problem

all this problems happend after i moved for 7 months now
is there any solution ?

Are you certain you can connect to port 9000? or maybe it's blocked by your filewall / isp / something.

You can test using telnet:

Code: Select all

telnet api.anidb.net 9000

If you can connect you should see something like: "WELCOME TO THE ANIDB API SERVICE"

(the command to close the connection is "BYE")

If this doesn't work maybe you should ask your isp for help.

I tried using my animebrower 2 but it didnt work

I get connected and I can c the welcome message when I type in the code you gave but my anime browsers list just wont show up ;(

dunno what I'm doing wrong

telneted api.anidb.net 9000
and i had a time out
i will ask a friend with a different ISP to do the same
and update you
