[CGI] Images in "view DB change request" [DENIED]
When viewing database change request, the actual images should be shown instead of filenames. This way you could really compare them... and also check validity of off-site links.

Well - if they are not fitting on the page, they might be too large. (I am using quite a high resolution, though).
I just found a site with a lot of good quality images and submitted about 20 CR to the DB. I wanted to make sure I haven't made a mistake...
Anyway, even hyperlinks in place of filenames would help - or made showing the images there a profile setting with default off ?

a bit off-topic, but take a look here:
http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... me&aid=687
960*720
487.5 Kb
it's even uploaded onto anidb-server...would it be possible to include a size-check or something?
of course those overkill-images can easily be avoided by attentive mods
but something like a size-limit for pics uploaded onto the server would be even better, otherwise they would remain on the server anyway (until someone deletes it manually, that is)

well,
we don't have to worry about hard disk space.
but images which are big enough to screw the table layout should
of course be prevented.
well i removed that pic for now.
i don't see a real need for checks @ pic upload atm, the mods should be able to handle this. and if you find an anime with such a huge picture just issue a change request to remove or replace that pic.

ok I just had to tell that I added http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl ... me&aid=687 (Angel Blade) into the database and gave it a good picture...then someone creq's it and the mod ACCEPTED that oversized picture..really pissed me off...
also I edited and added a different picture for it now
