[EDIT][GROUP] Anime-Conan

Post by Kudo-kun »

For the series "Meitantei Conan", it should be "ongoing" instead of stalled, and the latest episode subbed is 95 instead of 314. The date for that is Nov 6 2005.

stalled don't mean that it is dropped....
stalled only means that there is no release for the last 2 Months

To 314:
Someone could made a mistake by adding the file to the database which he thought Anime-conan had subbed...but u can make a creq yourself to change this.

that was no mistake. get your facts straight. anime-conan did sub 314.

Code: Select all

Detective Conan - 314 [2944FE1B][Anime-Conan].avi
the anidb code is a bit unflexible for such stuff

also see:
http://www.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?tit ... ies:Status

anyway nothing can be done about that atm.

Yeah that's true. But that's not the latest release though. Episode 95 is the latest release. So the anidb script picks up the highest episode number and not according to release date?

did you even bother to read what i pointed you to? highly doubt it as it even explains exactly this specific case
How it works
ongoing to stalled

AniDB only check for the highest added file for an episode by a group to set states. A timestamp gets set for this episode and if a higher ep doesn't get released in a defined timeframe it gets set stalled. Adding lower eps won't change the timestamp.

Lets make an example to show what this means:

Meitantei Conan
Anime Conan is set 314 stalled 06.07.2003 by AniDB.
Though they are still releasing frequently enough to qualify for ongoing. Now why are they marked stalled?
Like shown they released ep 314 on the 06.07.2003. AniDB is waiting for them to release ep 315. Until this happens it will be stalled for eternity.
Problems

The AniDB status system obviously has various problems.

eternally stalled rels caused by groups which release eps way ahead of them
(example: Conan)
A group releases an ep way ahead of the eps they really sub which causes AniDB to wait for a "higher" ep
