Cmts as "warzone"

Post by daserld »

Hi anidb staffs,

I am registering just to voice my concern on this comment option that exists for every fansub (this happens in the comments section for every fansub group, involving the anime they sub).

I think this option has been manipulate as if it was a forum, filled unwanted comments such inaccurate information’s. Sometimes it’s fine if there are some fansub members informing about their encodings but when it to the extend it become flaming (troll) this could cause inconvenience to other viewers. In my opinion, comments should be more on fansub’s craft (works) like the video quality and etc. instead of replying to others comments with redundant “info”. Other irritating comments are such as blaming the releases slow and incorrect codec’s and at last realize that its their bad instead……

I think comments should be neutral instead so it would be fair to viewers (newbie) who really just starting to watch anime. Maybe this would be too much to request but anidb staff could just try to trim unwanted comments...

For anidb...

uh that was the initial idea behind this feature. but yeah you can#t really expect less than a handfull of mods to check every comment thats just impossible. if you notice bad stuff all you can do is report it so a mod can take care of it.

maybe i should ask exp for a "report shit" feature. hitting it would result in marking this post as shit and would notice a mod about it. it is faster than pming a mod every time. but eh yeah that won't happen anytime soon. so like said if you notice something report and we will look into it.

Erased quite a few comments, dunno if I was too harsh or not harsh enough but the dead obvious stuff is gone.

Jesu. Do we need to baby people? If a comment is by a tard, we don't need a tard-flag for a comment, as anyone who's not a tard can *see* it's not a useful comment. A bit of bitchin' and whinin' does not a warzone make, yo.
