The OVA:

The first four episodes are the same:
* Which ones to add to mylist?
* Which ones to add files?

I advice to merge the two animes and add a note about the first 4 ones being also the OVA.

I wouldn't merge them, since they technically aren't the same. The studio decided to use the episodes previously released as an OVA and use them in the TV series, cutting them up to fit in the 25-minute timeslot. I've seen similar kind of thing in Ultra Maniac, where they used large portions of the OVA in one episode.

Disclaimer: I have only seen the OVA and the old TV series, not CPR TV. And I certainly want to keep it that way (instead of having seen "old TV series and part of new TV series").

The oldest gets the files for the newest you need to use generics. That's how it was solved in the past

Oh, ok.

This reminds me commercial techniques: you sell two times the same item, but different names, to get twice more money with it. Or more recently, the music with DRM: you can listen/watch it a limited amount of time, then you buy it again in GOLD edition (same than previous, but they change the advertising).
