there are 2 reasons why a rel ends up stalled for a group (besides the obvious slowass case)
- the group is dead and so are all the ongoing rels
- not all files of that group are added to the anime
and thats the problem. we can't just run around and set every rel of a group dropped just because the group is dead. maybe they finished it, but no one added all files. troublesome. http://web.archive.org works for such cases
And what about groups from which the website is dead and the irc link leads to an empty chatwindow? Consider them dead?
So even if we know is dead, unless we can confirm they didn't release any more episodes we can't set them to drop?!
Is that problematic to set them to drop?
Maybe we can ask exp to code a message to mods when someone adds episodes for a dropped series by a group. :/
Can't remember which thread, but someone said that when a groups state is dropped, it can change back to ongoing or finished when a file is added. I believe it works this way cause I've seen it once. Someone added a file a file to MAJOR. It was subbed by Froth-Bite & Minor Ja Nai. But the person who added it, filled in Minor Ja Nai, but MJN's state was dropped and it changed back to ongoing.
AnimeCorp is dead as announced on their Homepage, but that's now dead too. Anime affected visible on the Group Info page, no need to link each of them here, right?
