it won't work on cdroms that's true.
the .NET client needs write access to the directories it hashes files in.
no idea about the c:\ problem though.
you should wait for hisoka to answer that.

well i would like to know the details like error messages or other stuff that happened when u
try to add things from C:\
well like exp said u need write permissions on all files and directory's the client should check

I am not sure how the .NET framework works, but surely it is possible to make the caching file in a different directory from the hash-file source directory..
Basically adding CDs to myList is the main reason I'd like to see a client.
I know it is pre alpha stage, but I just thought I would suggest the obvious solution of a central cache-file, or similar.
Anyways, so far I am impressed with the client, seems to be coming on nicely.
Is there a notify for this? So I can be told about developments?
