AniDB

It started very recently, earlier i didn't have any troubles of this kind.

log shows an example (clean start of aom, but a couple of dozen files are not known [yet] to anidb)

(repeats message for each unknown file, couple of dozens here, [...] is filename for each of those)

To stop this message coming you need to select "work offline" mode.
Otherwise it shows you same error again and again.

error is being reported for 20 minutes in a row, until i actuall selected "work offline".

No other actions were taken this time. Just started aom and waited.

I've been getting errors like that during the past two days too.

I just got this error too and sent a more detailed report to exp.

I've been getting these errors in the past few days using AOM 0.5.6.241.

Not sure how long this has been going on since my last AOM (and successful) update was back in mid-January.

Anyone else having these problems?

Hmm, if it's been bugged that long I think you should try out deleting all files in your kowai folder except the local_* ones. Try that and say if there's a change.

Posting the log if it still happens would help.

I followed your instructions and then paid close attention to what I was doing when I was trying to add animes. Turns out that I was trying to "add" a new anime not already on AniDB, when what I really wanted was to search for an existing anime using Advanced Search and add it to my mylist.

This solves my problem. Thanks for your help!
