German error message when pressing the "Settings" Menü
Thread Error: Das Handle ist ungültig (6)
= Thread Error: Illegal/Invalid Handle (6)
Plz tell me how to fix this, oh mighty one!

Yeah, I know that one.
Delete all files in the kowai folder except local_ ones.
(a FILE entry is missing it's ANIME or EP entry)

No, you don't!
Everything BUT the local_ files!!!
I've never heard of the local_* files becoming invalid and they're the ones that contain hashed file data. Only reason I can think of for these files to go corrupt is a computer crash or a task manager end process.
The error you encountered also has nothing to do with the local cache going corrupt, it's caused by an unsync with AniDB. 0.5 will tell you something like "File ID 15 can't find Episode ID 10" instead of crashing.

Ah, I understand.
I always thought local files only contain settings, not hash data. The last weeks I am only writing on this forum during the day, away from my anime machine, therefor I can't always check. The error I got was reported to me by my brother via phone
