[AOM 0.4.3.188] Does not update mylist on remove [FIXED]

Post by Merlin »

I removed some files from mylist. The webpage does update correctly. The files are no longer in mylist, regardless of using aom or the webpage to remove them.
But aom won´t remove those files from its mylist. Restarting it does not solve the problem, even if the log says that it does update its mylist:
[19.03.2004 01:13:22] - Executing new AniDB command.
[19.03.2004 01:13:22] - Converting and saving new mylist data.
[19.03.2004 01:13:22] - Loading mylist data...

[19.03.2004 01:13:23] - New mylist data saved after 601 milliseconds.
[19.03.2004 01:13:23] - Executing new AniDB command.
[19.03.2004 01:13:24] - Removing obsolete entries.

Will look into it. Think I know what the cause is.
(Too much automation is dangerous!)

Wow, that was fast :D
Thanks!
By the way AOM seems to properly adopt any other change to files (status, storage, etc.).

Ok, bug fixed in 0.4.4 (to be released soon).

You will need to delete your mylist.dat and mylist.idx files for the mylist to receive the updates though. Actually you can do that now already and the bogus entries will disappear. (while app is not running!)

Now I´m puzzled.

Test 1:
I removed mylist.dat and mylist.idx. Started AOM, it showed a blank mylist, downloaded a new one from AniDB...
...and the removed files appeared again 8O
(AniDB does not list them anymore, tripple-checked this by now)

Test 2:
...readded all files to mylist at AniDB (state unknown), updated AOM (it showed unknown, too). Removed the files again, deleted mylist.dat and mylist.idx, AOM updated its mylist and listed the files again (state on cd like they were in the very beginning).
Does AOM create any backups? Or is it able to find the old mylist.dat I copied to a subfolder of *\AOM\kowai\?

Test 3:
Can confirm this with a clean install of AOM on my second computer?!

Maybe I should just wait for the next version ;)

Ah that's true... If not enough time has passed anidb sends you the mylist entries in the dump files and then sends remove commands... Well, hopefully 0.4.4 can be released today. :)

Take your time.
I just wanted to note my observations in case they were important.
