Hi All

I hope someone can help me with this.

Its not much to go on, but the simple premise is that aliens came to earth during world war 2, and re armed both sides of the conflict with alien technology.

i read this from an anime guide 5 years ago, and it just popped in my head just now.

any ideas would be appreciated

Are you sure it was anime? That sounds a bit like Harry Turtledove's "Worldwar" trilogy.
