Whoa a well explained opinion, we don't see those a lot these days.

Imho DB manga was quite nice up to the cell-games where it got too repetative. The TV series gets to this point much faster with all that repeat what happened, pump energies for about 5 mins, fight a little, do some trashtalk, fight some more, pump up more energy, cut: "will songoku beat xyz... we'll see next episode" (well actually we won't until the next few eps).
