Hello everybody,

I would appreciate some help in finding fantasy anime comparable to the Record of Lodoss War series. By that I mean I am looking for a show that features a group of characters being of different "races" (e.g. elf, sorcerer, dwarf etc.) and having different abilities (sword wielding, magic, healing etc.)

And it should not be a slapstick comedy type of show

I have a suggestion that doesn't quite fit with your requirements, but which I believe most people who enjoy fantasy will enjoy: The Twelve Kingdoms.
