ok i need this anime named i have searched and searched for just the slightest clu eto what it is. I believe it aired on the Sci-fi channel in 1997-98. something about there was a space station thing with a "monster" that stretched all over and there was a guy and a girl the guy stays behind to kill the monster by taking like the whole station with him, the girl goes off in a ship. most vivid thing i remember about this anime was this girl had a red mutli-layered coat. and at some point she wakes up and it's really hot in the ship and she lands on a planet and a bunch of hooligan kids steal her little hover car thing and are harassing her, she has some type of gun/beam rifle i can't remember clearly but the kid says she can't fire at him and she states some code or law and fires. there's also some significance on her necklace which has some pendent that means she's either of law enforcement or something... but that's all i can really remember i hope it's enough info...
in the guide for our tv i thought it had said Akira but i know that's not it... plz help, this is annoying not knowing what it is
