The Shounen Ai genre had some brilliant shows like "Loveless" and "Yami no Matsuei". They had that feeling... I can't quite descripe it. Maybe it was that slight aknowledgement that their relantionship was wrong at some level. Those confused feelings and moments. Anyway I'm looking for something similiar from the Shoujo Ai genre.

I have watched "Kannazuki no Miko" and currently watching "Shoujo Kakumei Utena".

Kannazuki was good at some level, but I quite didn't like the feel of the show. I though it was a bit sad. And Utena, while being a great show, seems to lack that something I'm really looking for.

Any ideas?

...in addition to those already mentioned.
Maria-sama is more extreme friendship than romantic type love... as for the other two, don't expect any happy endings.

maria sama season 1 and 2 are quite good.
As for more recent anime i can suggest Simoun and Strawberry panic.

Simoun is quite nice, the world is set up so that shoujo ai situations happens.
