It's really a matter of preferences, really. Both types of animations have their charm, and i bet everybody enjoyed some Disney Classics in their youth. The problem is with this new "americanised" anime graphics. They really don't appeal to me. But that is about taste, yet again. As anime has more styles of design.

when i think about american cartoons it's all about kids stuff but the japanesse have it in all my preference. my opinion the american just cant come with a good story ....well except for the avatar and the incredibles, i admit those were really awsome.

I have to disagree! The American animation industry is not short on great ideas (how else can you explain Shrek and Shrek 2). The reason American cartoons are usually targetted at children is because, as I've mentioned before, the teens-and-up demographic is monopolised by the movie industry, which is also much better funded and is simply too strong of a competetor for the animation industry.
