Anything on this list is something i enjoyed.. a few other random things i didnt like, but arent really worth mentioning. I'd like to watch something that gets me interested in the first 2-3 episodes, at least. Whats some more of the really big, popular animes, like Gantz, Elfen Lied, Evangelion, Love Hina, Chobits, Full Metal Alchemist, etc? I just want to find something worth watching, since the last three things ive tried were duds and i just got bored of it.

If I understand, you want an interesting anime, preferrably action, which gets you hooked right from the start. Well then... I can think of nothing that fits that description more then "s-Cry-ed". It's not famous, but it's good.
